I fell and hit my upper arm just under the bicep very hard on the edge of a table top . it scared me because it was intense pain and it appeared to be dented to the point where I thought maybe it was split and would start spewing blood any moment. Fortunately it didn t. It bruised pretty instantly. I haven t thought much of It for the last 10ndays but felt it today and there is a hard bump. should I be concerned?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your case history, you are suffering from a Sebaceous cyst or Lipoma. My treatment advice is:
1. Do not squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like Fusiderm cream on it. 3. Only Curative treatment is excision under Local anesthesia done by a Dermatosurgeon.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harshit Bhachech
