Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain swelling that has occurred immediately after eating and is painless with just pressure feeling at the hinge of the jaw seems to be due to obstruction in the duct of the
Parotid gland that is a major
salivary gland present infront of the ear..
The duct of the gland that is carries saliva from the gland to mouth can get obstructed with formation of crystalline stones from the minerals present in saliva..
At times the duct orifice can get blocked with some foreign body and it can lead to resistance in flow of the saliva and the saliva backflows t the duct leading to expansion of the gland..
As the saliva secretion increases during eating food therefore the swelling becomes prominent..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a he can do a cross sectional
x ray of the gland or
MRI Scan to rule out the cause and treatment can be planned accordingly.
In case of superficially located stones manual removal can be done..In case of deep seated stones surgical removal can be done..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
