What Is The Cause And Treatment For Hard Bump On The Upper Lip?

Hi, I woke up the other day and noticed a small hard bump on the inside of my upper lip. It is not discolered except the middle which is a darker, almost purple color. It does not cause any discomfort. It seems to have manifested overnight and has not increased or decreased in size. Is this cause for concern?

thanks for your query, i have gone through your query, the swelling over the lip could be a mucocoele that is cystic lesion of the minor salivary gland which occurs secondary to trauma like lip biting, which is harmless..nothing to worry, you can get it excised.. consult a oral physician...i hope my answer will help you.. take care..
