What Is The Cause And Treatment For Infection On Toe?

Hi.I think that my big toe might be infected.the other day pus was coming out of it and it is yellow just before the white part on the bottom of it.The cuticle came off of it 3 months ago,and ever since then my toenail has stopped growing.What does this mean?Do I have to have surgery on it,or something like that?I have put hydrogen peroxide on it and antibiotic cream on it.
