What Is The Cause And Treatment For Red Spot On Chest?

Hi, I have just one red spot on my chest that always comes and goes. I m not sure whether it comes when I m getting more stressed about something or if it s something else that causes it. If I catch it by accident it hurts slightly but not too much. It kinda looks like a blood spot. Thanks.

Hello,

The etiology of red spots or cherry angiomas on chest are not known, these angiomas increase in number & size after 40 years of age. Do not touch or scratch. They are harmless. If you want to remove it you should get clinically examined by a dermatologist.

It can be removed by excision, electrodessication, cryosurgery or by laser removal. These procedures should be done by a dermatologist. These treatments are quite effective.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
