As an
Urologist, let me advise you, that AML(
angiomyolipoma),is not cancer.
This is almost diagnostic on the CT-IVU, with typical features.
There're three approaches to it's management.
1.Needle
biopsy of the
tumor, to confirm, it's an AML. If AML, leave it alone.
2.Surgery,send the tumor for a biopsy. If AML,nothing more to do.
3.Observation with regular CT scans, at 6-12 monthly intervals.
Surgery, only if any changes noted. So, Ct alone isn't conclusive.
