What Is The Cause For Black Color In The Tongue?

sir my baby boy age 11months suffering cold and fever ,now fever normal but my Doctor suggested montex skin test result is 20mm blood analysis ESR 100 HB 60% now i am used antibiotics medicine now on tongue black is appearing what can i do pl suggested ke

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. 1st of all I would like to clarify what was the strength of Mantoux test fluid used- it should be 2 TU..if more than this is used ---the result will be false positive. More than ESR which is very non-specific I am worried about Haemoglobin which is only 6%. She needs work up for anaemia. Probably the discoloration of the tongue is the result of using an iron supplement the doctor has prescribed and it doesn't warrant treatment. Hope my answer was helpful for you.
