Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Is The Cause For Burning Pain In The Bottom Of My Tricep Post Tendon Repair Surgery?
during therapy today I felt a real bad burning at the bottom of my tricep where it attaches to my elbow . I had surgery to repair the tricep tendon 10 1/2 wks ago and it was re-attached to elbow at that time. The burning was severe and I can no longer do some arm movements that I could do prior to therapy. I am hoping the burning wasn't me tearing the tendon again. It occurred when I was pushing my, bent arm, against resistance. What do you think
Hi Burning is a sensation which is normally caused by problem with the nerves. It is possibly due to tear of a small nerve which was entrapped into the fibrous tissue ( develops in all cases of injury/ surgery). I would suggest to consult the operating surgeon before you go ahead with.
