What Is The Cause For Dark Spot In The Far Corner On The White Of The Left Eye?

I was out with my 3 month old Grand daughter today and noticed a dark spot in the far corner on the white of her left eye and am concerned. I asked my daughter in law about it and she said she noticed it for the first time this morning. Should I be concerned? Is this a broken blood vessel?

Hello
It seems from the history that your grand daughter is having subconjunctival hemorrhage because of broken blood vessel.
There is no need to worry as this condition does not require any treatment and will improve over 1-2 weeks as the blood gets absorbed.
If possible you can send a photo of the affected eye so that I can confirm the diagnosis and advice you accordingly.

Thank you
