Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Is The Cause For Headache When On Oxetoln And Trioptal For Seizures?
Hi Doctor, my son is 3 yrs old and he got seizures twice in this month. We consulted a leading peadiatric neurologist and he prescribed to take oxetoln trioptal 150mg 1/4th twice a day. After taking this pill he got headache. Is it something serious. When he will be alright.
Drugs impose changes to the body that may take a while for all to return to nrmal. Because he just started this new medication, I will suggest that you monitor over a few days to a week before concluding on whether this is transient or something that needs more attention. I will recommend you give him some baby tylenol to relief his headache while we obtain more information to act on.
I hope it helps and wish you both well. Thanks and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications. Dr. Ditah, MD.
