What Is The Cause For Infection With White Puss In The Upper Outer Ear?
My husbands upper outer ear is infected with white puss, he has gone to a MD and they have cut it open and cleaned it out twice now but it keeps returning and he is on his 3 rd round of meds and is not clearing up. What type of doctor does he need to see to heal this. I believe lab work was done on it and is okay but it fills up with puss and hurts really bad?
Hi, It seems that he might be having some local skin infection like dermatitis producing recurrent infection. After antibiotic medicine lesion will be healed up for short time but due to itching there might be having infection again. Apply triple action cream. Take Cetrizine or Benadryl for itching if he has. If require consult Dermatologist and get examined. Rule out diabetes and having dandruff infection on scalp. Ok and take care.
