What Is The Cause For Kaleidoscope Vision?

I have for the fourth time experienced a collidascope ring effect in my vision spread over the past 20 years. It starts in the center of my vision and expands out as a ring until it goes past my peripheral vision disappearing. what could be the cause.

It sounds like a floater. You should get your retina checked for any degeneration or otherwise.
