Hello, I hope you are well, look, the Irritable Bowel Syndrome presents a very broad spectrum of gastrointestinal and extraintestinal manifestation; is divided into patients with a predominantly constipation, diarrhea or mixed symptoms, in the presence of abdominal pain which is the main symptom of the disease. Other gastrointestinal symptoms including gastroesophageal reflux, dysphagia, early satiety, intermittent dyspepsia, nausea, and non-cardiac chest pain.

According to the symptoms that you mention for the fact of presenting that digestive hemorrhage is an atypical or alarm sign; other alarm data are weight loss, progressive or nocturnal abdominal pain, or certain laboratory abnormalities such as anemia, elevated inflammatory markers, or electrolyte disturbances. If you present one of these alarm symptoms require further imaging studies such as the study of faeces, acute phase reactants and/or colonoscopy for the endoscopic and histological characteristics, being one of the main suspects the presence of an Inflammatory bowel disease.
