Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 9yr old son has been complaining for a while about really smelly burps that make him want to throw up and a couple times he has. He had an episode of this plus diarrhea on Christmas eve and said the smelly burps had been going on for a long time before that. We had another bout with this starting at 3am this morning and he says he feels bad and really won't eat much which is very unusual!! Please help! I don't know what to do.
I have gone through your query. Symptoms you have mentioned are suggestive of Acute Gastroenteritis. It may be followed with vomiting and diarrhea. To my patients i prescribe antibiotics like Norfloxacin and Tinidazole. If vomiting is accompanied then anti emetic like domperidone can be given and Oral Rehydration Solution is given to keep them well hydrated. Your son is 9 years old and these medicines should be dosed as per weight. Its better to consult a local pediatrician for clinical examination and management.
Do consider a positive feedback as a credit to my work. Let me know if you have any further questions.
