What Is The Cause For Spots On My Breast And Ears That Itch With The History Of Skin Fungus?

Every winter , start November- go thru March, for the past 7 years, I get these spots, that look like bites, itch like crazy, and are always on and around my breast, ears, inside or on lobe, on my nose, hairline, but no where else. I wake up with a spot of blood, dried, in the morning that was not there the night before, like something sucked the blood out of me and it dried. then they itch for days. I had my house and bed professionally checked for bed bugs and there was no sign of this. Can you tell me what this is. I do have the skin fungus, Tinea Versicolar, but this doesn t seem to be this, but is it related.

Hello,
Welcome to HCM,
I have reviewed your history and understand your concern.
It can be several things leading to your symptoms as there are at least a couple of common things that could be causing the rash.
One possibility is that this is a yeast infection of the skin. These are relatively common on the breasts because the yeast grows best in humid environments.
These fungal infection can spread to other areas also through the fomites.
The other common condition would be allergic reaction, which could be from clothing, soap or other chemicals, or another exposure.
Both conditions can be quite itching, so that doesn't necessarily help differentiate between them.
I would suggest you to consult your doctor because he will be able to tell what is the reason for the rash.
If this is a yeast infection, then a topical anti-fungal medication will be prescribe by your doctor
If it is an allergic reaction, then you may need a topical steroid cream to get the inflammation under control.
Hope you got the answer for your query.
Thank you.
