ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, the possible reason for pain in throat while burping can reflux of acid from the stomach into the food pipe and throat. The pulling of any muscle while burping id usually not the case. Exposure of throat mucosa to acid results in inflammation of the mucosa and the resultant pain. Please use a proton pump inhibitor with prokinetic and the things should be fine. Dietary modifications like avoiding spicy, oily and junk food helps. Regards
