What Is The Cause Of Bleeding After Intercourse During Pregnancy?

I am 34weeks +3days pregnant and every time my partner and I have sex, when I go to the toilet to pee there is some either dark brownish or just bright red spots of blood left on toilet paper. I also experience a little bit of pain during sex even when I lay on my side during sex. I had a hospital appointment on Wednesday and they said that everything appears to be normal for how far along I am except they are concerned about my BMI Which is BMI 17 so I was just stressing as they have now booked another appointment for Tuesay for serval blood tests and a fetal growth ultra sound. Should I be concerned about anything I have mentioned??

Hi
If you are experiencing such symptoms better to avoid sex. In low lying placenta there is a possibility of bleeding like your case.Better to have a physical examination with gynecologist and an ultrasound examination is also needed. Then only can tell exactly what is wrong.Hope this may help you.
thanks
