What Is The Cause Of Chest Pain And Cough?

I have a sharp pain in my left side of my chest it's been there for a couple of hours. I have had a cough for last two weeks and I have been sick. I have been to the doctors and the doctor gave me medicine to get rid of my cold and my cough. My chest pains and have only been going for a couple hours I'm just worried because it does go away.

Some time coughing for long time make your muscles fatigue and cause chest pain. Other reason could be fluid collection in lung covering. I would recommend you to get x ray of chest and Blood investigations like WBC and ESR. After that you will get an idea what is really bothering you. I hope you are taking antibiotics. Just check with your Doctor.
