What Is The Cause Of Cramps And Diarrhea?

I am 38+3 weeks pregnant....my doctor stripped my membranes yesterday....started cramping a bit...and last night I started having stomach pain that would come and go...paSsing gas....and watery diarrhea....I cramped all night, and still cramping. Does this have anything to do with having my membranes stripped?

hi. passing gas and watery diarrhea with cramping pain goes more in favour of a gastro-inestinal infection, more likely if you ate food from outside. true labour pains can be confirmed if the pain was initially in back and lower abdomen, radiating to the front, has been increasing in intensity and duration and is getting more frequent with passage of time. in either case, whether infection or labour pains, you should immediately consult your doctor. all the best
