What Is The Cause Of Dry Spots On Ankle And Knee?

Hi- I am a 49y.o female who approx. 6 months ago noticed small quarter size circular dry spots by my ankle.(Bilaterally & in the exact same place on each foot) They are not from rubbing on any shoes. Also on one knee there is a large dry brown area. I put lotions on them daily and they do not go away. Any idea what causes these? Thank you!

Hi
Thank for asking to HCM
This could be pigmented patch (Either hypo or hyper) the fungal infection is more likely cause, this can be treated with Miconazole cream if it is fungal infection then this will go away, else it needs to be examined (Ideally every skin lesion should be clinically examined because it is more art of looking ) it is just basis on history given by you, have nice day
