What Is The Cause Of Foul Smell Immediately After Having Sex?

Hello. I have been having sex with my boyfriend for about 2 months now. We have never had any problems and everthing has been great. On Monday night, we were having sex and about half way through we noticed this horrible smell. It wasn t the sex smell. It smelt more like poop. When we were done we sort of brushed it off because there was no poop stains or anything. Then last night we were having sex again and right when we started this horrible poop smell filled the room. We immediately stopped. There was a thin brownish/purple discharge all over his penis, the condom, and my vagina. There were stains on the bed that smellled like really strong diarrhea. The smell was horrible. Throughout the day, I do not have any unsual discharge and the smell is not present. It only happens during sex. The only thing that has changed is I started taking birth control on Sunday. Could that be the cause? What could this be?

First of all, we will have to examine the discharge you are experiencing, so preferably please produce a sample for the laboratory to analyse. Next, please do consult your prescribing doctor and discontinue the birth control for a period of 2 months at least and observe whether you experience the same discharge or not.

During this period, you can use alternate contraception like condoms. Hope this helps.
