My husband has been on Tekturna. Our insurance company asked his Dr. To switch him to something else that is cheaper.. Put him on Losartan this week, since starting he has had a headache and just doesn t feel well at all. He seems confused as well. Is this normal. Should he stop this medicine ?

Hi, electrolyte imbalances are one of the main cause of headaches when pt is on antihypertensives. It could also be due to irregular control of b p. Get his regular blood pressure charted and blood test for electrolytes done. Also get his eye sight chevked from an ophthalmologist.
