What Is The Cause Of High Fever With Loose Stools When On Rite-o-cef?

Hi Dr., My son is 1 year and 2 months. On 3rd march he had high fever and lose stools, when took to hospital the Dr. diagonis it to be Viral infection and gave him Sy.Calpol, Life salt, Z & D drops. On 4th march he was vomiting and din eat nothing, for that Dr. prescribed Sy,Vomikind, T.Junior Lanzol 15, Delponorm and continued the dosage of 1st day. And Yesterday his lose stools din stop and was even worse when I again ran to Dr. he prescribed Rite-O-Cef. Today Morning my son got too tired and still the problem continuing. Please Guide me what i shud do next?
Yet he is still active.

Hi and thanks for the query,
I think he needs to be carefully checked preferably by a pediatrician. It is imperative to checked his hydration status to exclude dehydration, formerly exclude any infection other than viral, any electrolyte imbalance, blood shortage or electrolyte imbalance. A complete blood count and C reactive protein measurements, coupled with the clinical review, in my opinion are the most important initial steps. Kind regards
