What Is The Cause Of Orange Colored Periods?

I am 33 years old and have 3 children. I do have IBS and take triple probiotic vitamin. I do have normal periods with it being heavy and last 3-4days. This time I started 3 days early, with orange colored period. It is lighter with not being heavy red blood but orange, brown, and little pink. What does this mean?

Hi

Orange or pink colored menstrual blood may occur when the blood is mixed with cervical fluids. It can also occur in certain vaginal infections.

Any history of curdy white or foul smelling discharge may also indicate vaginal infections. You may require a course of antibiotics to reduce the infection.

Vaginal smear and pelvic ultrasound may be required to rule vaginal or pelvic infections.Proper vaginal hygiene and ph should be maintained.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
