I am a female, age 60, 5'4" 110 lbs. I fell 2 months ago and I have had a strange feeling in my lower side since then. At first of course it was painful, but now it almost feels as if there is something inside, it is not particularly painful though. Could I have cracked a lower rib?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. No need to worry for cracked ribs. But we should definitely rule out heart and lung diseases for your symptoms. So get done ecg, 2d echo and chest x ray. If all these are normal then no need to worry for major illnesses. Apply warm water pad on affected areas Avoid movements causing pain. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise. Take simple painkiller like paracetamol or ibuprofen. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these . Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
