What Is The Cause Of Racing Heart With The Numbness In My Arm When On Aderal?

I am taking Adderal 10mg twice a day for ADD. I am an overweight guy weighing 295 lbs. I have lost a lot of weight in 5 months, I was 370. I have been on the meds for 5 days. I have had a racing heart and some numbness in my left arm. It is not fully numb. I do not have hypertension. What do I need to do?

Dear patient,

Given your weight and potential associated medical problems, the symptoms are concerning for cardiovascular disease and you should undergo a full evaluation which includes a physical, a resting ECG and very likely a stress test.

Hope this helps, wish you the best,
