hi Dr. I am madhuri My age is 33. my periods were delayed by 10 days. there continuous regular flow of blood for 5 days but after the periods next week spotting has started daily. Daily two-three drops of blood have been shed out. kindly guide me what is wrong with my health.

Now about the spotting,
The commonest cause of this is missed abortion or threatened abortion if you are sexually active and not practicing contraception. If this is not the case then other reasons are hormonal imbalances, fibroids and polyps [ non cancerous uterine tumors], cervical erosions [ infections of cervix] and ovarian cysts or tumors producing hormone dysfunction. These are very common issues and are not serious. But it is better to get a gynec examination, ultrasound and hormonal evaluation to determine the cause and get treated accordingly.
