What Is The Cause Of Stiffness In Body, Dizziness And Loss Of Balance?

Hello, The last few months I have stifiness, diziness and I lose my balance. I can not think of any specific reason of this situation as my blood tests where fine and a general doctor I have visited could not find of any specific cause. Could you please tell me of any reason or cause that I need to take more into consideration for this situation and search further ? P.S In case of interest I work most of my day in from of a computer. Thank you

Hi,

There can be various reasons for your dizziness. It can be due to low hemoglobin, low blood pressure, low blood sugar or electrolyte imbalance. It can also be due to problems related to the ear, muscle strain or neck related problems. Especially as you mentioned that you work a lot on computer, it can be due to posture related issues or vision disturbance. Rarely heart and brain related problems also need to be ruled out.


So first of all focus on your diet.Take a good balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables. Maintain a proper posture while sleeping and working. Do some neck muscle exercises. If still the symptoms are persisting then do go for some investigations like complete blood count, FBS, TSH, sodium, potassium, ECG, X-ray neck, (what all investigations you did, you didn't mention). You may also need to get ENT and eye examination done.
