Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi my name is Terri and my rheumatologist thinks I may have seronegative spondyloarthritis. I have been diarrhea for about a week now. I'm usually diarrhoea or constipated and my dr thinks I may have IBS. Lately I have noticed red looking things in my stool, looks like jellybeans. My stool is very light brown and I haven't eaten any tomato's or anything. I also have stomach cramps. Should I be concerned?
HI Well come to HCM Thank for choosing HCM, apart from the IBS the condition could be due to infection and it could be protozoa and in my opinion it needs to be first given try Tab Metronidazole 400 mg twice in day for five days, now for them IBS it is more or less is functional kind of disease and for that I would suggest to try Clinidium with Chlordiazepoxide three times in day, hope this information helps.
