What Is The Cause Of Swelling, Redness And Yellow Discharge From Eyes?
I woke up with a crusty red swollen eye. Upon further inspection the lower eyelid looks like it has gashes or cuts along the rim that touches the eyeball. I did nothing to my eye and do not know how it got like this. The eye burns a little when I blink. It s really red and there is a little bit of discharge coming from the eye that is a tiny bit yellow. I thought it was pink eye but the tiny cuts along the lower lid is what s confusing. What can I do to help heal it?
I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms. They are suggestive of a possible bacteria eye infection. You would need to be evaluated by an opthalmologist for diagnosis and treatment. My strongest suspicion is that you would need eye drops and antibiotics for this treatment.
