Hi,
Welcome to Health Care Magic and thanks for posting your query .
I understand your concern.
By going through your history , It seems like you have had a pretty good amount of alcohol and spicy food , which is not good . This could have caused severe
gastritis in you and would be the reason for your troubled breathing as the acid refluxes back to your oesophagus and sometimes into your breathing tubes causing difficulty in breathing .
Also you say that you are a known Asthmatic, if so alcohol is proven bad for people with asthma as it exacerbates the condition due to the sulfites present in beer and wine. This too could be the cause of breathing problems with
increased heart rate. A heart rate of 88 should not worry you so much because the normal range is 60-100 per minute, only anything above 100 needs to be evaluated.
Well to be on the safer side i suggest you to get an ECG, ECHO and a chest Xray done to rule out other causes and do consult your physician with the reports .
If you are on medication for Asthma , do take them as prescribed and if it gets worse , do get help soon.
Hope this answers your query satisfactorily and do write back to me if you need further assistance.
Wish you speedy recovery and good health.
Take care.
Regards,
Dr. Rashmi
