What Is The Cause Of Urine Infection To My 5 Year Old?
Hi doctor, I have a 5 yr old daughter. she was detected with infection and pus cell (40-70) in her urine 2 months back. Shw was treated by antibiotics. The infection has re occured again . what could be reason and how can we prevent it from occuring again. Please help.

In this age it is not usual to have UTIs and you should do tests to rule out some urinary disorders in children such as vesocoureteral reflux or urogenital anomalies so i suggets to do cystography for a start and then it can be appropriately treated. However, if there wont be recurrent infections then it may have been just sporadic UTI.
