I have been having a constant ringing in my ears (usually my left one, but some times both). Now I have a whooshing sound in my right ear and the ringing in my left.... can you tell me what I can do. It is messing with my day to day life and I can't meditate any more.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of whooshing sound in the ear which are probably due to a condition known as Meniere's disease which is a disorder of the inner ear and occurs due to abnormal volume or composition of fluid in the inner ear and leading to ringing sound in ears. Need not to worry. Apply warm compresses on ear. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and to rule out other conditions like acoustic neuroma and inner ear infection . Doctor may order certain test to confirm diagnosis like Hearing tests, Videonystagmography and Vestibular evoked myogenic potentials testing . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drugs , recommend hearing aid , vestibular nerve section procedure. You should avoid touching or pricking ear with any sharp object.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
