What Is The Correlation Between Tubal Ligation And Development Of Fibroids?

I am concerned because I have a nephew who already has five children he can barely afford and his wife has been diagnosed with fibroids. She is being told by a physician (who wants to reverse her tubal ligation and recover her in a newby hotel for 24 hours) that her fibroids were caused by the tubal ligation. I think the only reason for her to get it reversed is to try to have more children. Is there any correlation between tubal ligation surgery and development of fibroids?

Hi. There are not proven theories regarding fibroids but there no scientific evidence regarding fibroids caused by tubar ligation. The only reason why tubes are ligated is the desire tonot conceive anymore.Maybe she has heard uterine ligation which is the ligation of uterine arteries to not feed the uterus.Maybe that would be more logic but ligation of the tubes has nothing to do with fibroids.
