hi I have been having pain in my right hand and not able to lift anything to heavy since birth due to being born with a dislocated wrist, for the last few days have been getting a burning pain in right hand palm and my fingers swell up and unable to bend them as middle one locks and I have to force it open but I am also getting severe pain in my right shoulder down to hand and i'm unable to sleep as pain keeps me awake and pain killers not helping at all.

Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal.

Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query

My friend your symptoms sound like those of cervical radiculopathy. the pain would typically affect your arm and would radiate- as in seems to move from the shoulder region to the arm region.

i hope there has been no history of trauma.

i would suggest an x ray of the cervical spine- ap and lateral. and if possible, an mri of the cervical spine.

i would also like to know exactly what has been wrong with your hand. you said its a congenital problem. we need to know this as some disorders go in groups.

meanwhile you should meet a local dr to start you on pregabalin or gabapentin. they are both antiepileptic drugs that will help you get relief in pain. and a tab of amitryptiline is a better painkiller fir you, if this turns out to be a radiculopathy.
you will also need to meet a physiotherapist for regular exercises, if this proves to be cervical radiculopathy in the xray/mri

I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above so i can be of help further. Best of luck.
