What Is The Cure For Itchy Anus Caused By Anal Fissures?
I have had an itchy anus for quite awhile. My mother is a nurse and noticed I have anal fissures. I have been treating it with cream and wiping lightly. I also try to keep it as clean as possible. Recently it's been even more itchy and I've noticed the color of the anus around it is purple. It has no lumps just cuts and is purple . My stools are soft as I eat lots of fiber. I use the washroom 3-4 times a day with ease. Sometimes I do poop for a lil longer 5mins. Anyway the main concern is the itching and purple around anus
Anal fissures lead to breach of skin, through which bacteria or yeast (fungal) invade deeper layers of anal wall and cause infection. Purplish skin around anus is due to infection + mild oozing of blood into the superficial anal tissues.
A course of oral antibiotics to kill intestinal organism, an anti-histaminic, such as, Ceterizine to relieve anal itch, and a local application of an ointment containing an antibiotic, anti-fungal drug and an anesthetic agent (to relieve pain + itch) will give relief.
Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me, and prescribe suitable treatment as advised.
