Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Hypertension: Systolic blood pressure more than 180 and/or diastolic blood pressure more than 110 mm hg is considered as stage 3 hypertension and considered as high risk Blood pressure.
Malignant hypertension is the most dangerous hypertension and it is a a syndrome associated with an abrupt increase of blood pressure in a patient with underlying hypertension or related to the sudden onset of hypertension in a previously normotensive individual. The absolute level of blood pressure is not as important as its rate of rise. Clinically, the syndrome is recognized by progressive retinopathy (arteriolar spasm, hemorrhages, exudates, and papilledema), deteriorating renal function with proteinuria, microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, and encephalopathy.

hi
i think you had suffered from diabetic ketoacidosis for whic u got the treatment now DKA and dehydration is a stress condition so stress hormone like adrenaline or steroid get secreted in your blood because of this blood pressure may rise but it doesnot mean it should not be concerned you must check your BP two times in a day for three different day if its above normal level than you have to start anti BP medicine as BP commonly associated with diabetes and also if it is present with DM it increases renal damage and cornary artery disease i will also suggest to check renal profile as well
thanks
hope answer your question
