Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain you have a "Black Hairy Tongue" which is due to smoking as due to smoking there is thermal burning of the tongue due to heat as well as deposition of particles from the smoke also gets deposited over the tongue..
There is pigmentation and increased formation of keratin over the tongue and all these factors lead to a "Coated Tongue".
Feeling of something hanging is due to irritation of throat leading to inflammation causing Pharyngitis as well as there can be enlarged tonsils leading to Tonsillitis which can lead to feeling of something hanging in throat..
For coating over tongue first of all avoid smoking..
-Do soda bicarb gargles..
-Use a tongue cleaner and a soft toothbrush to clean your tongue..
-Drink plenty of water..
-Eat more of Yoghurt and take more of nutritious and home cooked food..
The coating will not go away in a day but if you follow the instructions properly gradually there will be improvement..

For feeling of something hanging..
-Do warm saline gargles..
-Completely avoid smoking..
-Take throat lozenges and do steam inhalations..

In case if the condition does not resolve consult an ENT expert..

Hope this information helps..
