Internal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Ivo Ditah's Response
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
The main source of amylase and lipase is the pancreas. This may signal an acute pancreatic attack. However, the increase is not high enough and the absence of symptoms of abdominal pain makes this very unlikely. I will recommend that you follow up with a control of this test to see if this was for real or not especially if there are no worrisome symptoms suggestive of this now. Fatty food increase the burden on the pancreas, this would be the only food type to consider if the diagnosis were confirmed.
I hope this helps. I wish you well.
