What Is The Difference Between Angina And Gall Stone Pain?
What is the difference between Angina pain and pain due to gall stone. What are the different test for these two types of pains? What if a person having pain due to stone is given treatment for Angina pain and given medicines Tab ECOSPRIN and Tab CLOPITAB 75MG for life long?
Hi & Welcome. I can understand your concern. Age, gender, duration of symptoms, body weight, etc not mentioned. Angina pectoris is the chest pain due to decreased blood supply to the heart. The chest pain radiates to the left shoulder, neck, left arm or fore arm and it is associated with sweating or palpitations and relieved by drugs like Nitrates. The pain due to gall stones (biliary colic) occurs in the right upper abdomen and radiates to the back and is associated with vomiting, dyspepsia following a fatty meal.
The medications Ecosprin and Clopitab prevent the thrombus (clot) formation and hence are usually prescribed to prevent the heart disease like angina pectoris.
Hope this answers your query.
