Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Is The Difference Between Endogest And Dephaston?
I am 6 weeks pregnant. I consulted two doctors because I was not sure about the first one so one doctor suggested to take endogest and second suggested to take duphaston. So is there any difference in these two medicines? Because I have read somewhere both works for the same thing. Please clarify in huge doubt. Main difference is duphaston is little expensive than endogest 300 sr
In my opinion, both Duphaston and Endogest belong to the same group of a female sex hormone. These have the same indications and side effects. No comparative study is available about the efficacy or side effects of both of these. Therefore, the prescription preference by different gynecologists may be due to individual experience of the particular gynecologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
