What Is The Dosage For Progynova And Duphaston?

My doctor prescribed me with progynova day1-14th, and duphaston every 14th-25th day. I wasnt able to find progynova in the market. I wanna know when should i start taking duphaston? Does taking duphaston monthly will vary depending on the 1st day of my period monthly? Thank you for the response.

Hi,
I understand your query.
Your doctor is trying to prescribe hormones in a physiological way ( estrogen in first half of cycle & progesteron in later half of menstrual cycle)
Progynova is estrogen preparation- which should be taken to start with ( .day 1-14) followed by Duphaston ( Progesteron like preparatioon) to follow it
Both the hormones need to be taken for getting desired effect.
* If you don't get Progynova- ask your doctor for substitute. there are many substitutes in market ( like Premarin)
* Duphaston intake always depends on 1st day of menses ( 14th day of menses)
*For this month as you have missed progynova, you can take duphaston from 14th day of cycle BUT make it a point to have a complete course from next month onwards.
