What Is The Dosage Of Clexane Before Flight?

Have been advised to inject Clexane 1mg/kg 1 day prior to flying,day of flying and day after flight. My problem is this....I injected this morning at 10.30am,only to discover the flight now departs at 9.30am. Should I inject next dose prior to flight which would make dose about one and a half hours too early,or do I await the correct time and inject on board. Would very much appreciate your answer.....I have double gene mutation......prothrombin and factor five Leiden. Many thanks...Nikky

Dear NIkky, Clexane is low mol wt Heparin- Enoxaparin.You are taking it in reasonable dose and taking it just 1-2hrs prior to 24hrs interval will do no major harm.Even if there's mild risk, the benefit is much more important as it's gonna prevent the DVT.In your dose it'll never cause any major bleeding spontaneously. So just be sure not to get any injury.Good luck and have a safe journey.
