Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My father was prescribed lyrica 2x a day and tramadol inbtween. I am assuming that that means he should only take the tramidol every in hours ( in the middle between the doses of lyrica.). I.e. If he gets lyrica at 9am and 9pm , he should only get the tramadol at 3 pm and 3 am? Is that correct. Can he have the tramadol more often
Tramadol can be given up to 4 times per day.You can take it with lyrica at the same time if need be. Perhaps what the prescription meant was he may take Tramadol as needed (not regularly) for any extra pain he feels during the day?
Kind Regards
