What Is The Dosage Of Fenistil Drops For Cold?
I am giving my daughter (1 year old) Feistil drops for cold 4 drops two times a day and saline 2 nasal drops two times a day and she used both now for more than 3 weeks but she still have the cold symptoms. I realized now the dose for Fenistil was quite low and I supposed to give her 10 drops three time a day, Is it OK if continue with this new dose or what do you think??..For how long I can give her these medications..Does one month too much for her with using these medications ???

Fenistil drop contains dimetindene which relieves itching and irritation caused by rash on the skin, relieves swelling and symptoms of allergic rhinitis like nasal discharge, sneezing, itching in the nose, itching and eye shedding. Fenistil drops provide relief from allergic rashes and pruritus of different origins like eczema, skin inflammation, urticaria, insects bite and itching caused by varicella, allergic rhinitis, allergens to medicine or foods. Fenistil drops are degisned for adults, teens and children from 1 year. The recommended daily dose for children ages 1-12 years is 2 drops/ kg body weight/ day, divided into 3 doses. As for example, 8 drops 3 times a day for a 2 year child weighing 12 kg is required. 10 drops 3 times a day for a 1 year child will become overdose according to body weight. This medication can be used 1-2 months without any hesitation.
