What Is The Dosage Of Potassium Pills With Numbness In Hands And Face?
I had to go to the hospital on Sunday I had lost all feeling in both hands and the face, they said all they found was low potassium, they gave me potassium pills and within an hour I started to feel again, but still 2 days later I am feeling funny, howw do I know if my potassium level is ok, or if I need to take more?
Potassium pill should be taken only for a few days. I suggest to use them as prescribed by your doctor. If your potassium was low enough to cause symptoms, it may take a few days of treatment for the weakness and other symptoms to go away. Then you should stop them. You can also check the potassium blood level at the hospital.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
