Hi my 4yr old son, weight 15 kgs is having fever and vomitting for 2days. Vomitting 2 to 3 episodes yesterday and today one episode. Diarrhoea 2 episodes yesterday. Have given domperidone for vomitting. What is the dose of powergyl suspension. Kindly reply. Thanking you before.
The dosage of powergyl suspension below 8 years is usually 2.5- 5.0 ml (25-50 mg of Ofloxacin and 62.5-125 mg of Ornidazole) and it is to be given for 4-5 days. In case of your child the dosage may be 2.5 ml two times a day for 4-5 days. Usual dosage of ofloxacin in children is 3-5 mg/kg/day and of Ornidazole is about 10 mg/kg/day.
