What Is The Expected Recovery Period For Laparoscopic Appendix Removal?
I had surgery a week ago today to remove my appendix through laparoscopy, last ovary due to endometriosis via robotic and removal of lots of scar tissue. How long should recovery take? And, what should I do for itching around the stitches with surgical glue. And, how long should recovery be? 2 or 3 weeks? And, should I be concerned if the areas around the incisions are still sore? I am 47 and had a hysterectomy 8 years ago, retaining my right ovary.
Warm welcome to Healthcaremagic.com I have evaluated your query in details .
* Recovery takes around 7 - 10 days after surgery . * For itching can use dusting powder as clotrimazole ( 1 % ) or even lavender talc will work best . - Areas of incision should not be much sore after 7 days , if persistent should consult the surgeon .
Hope this will help you for sure . Wishing you fine recovery .
Welcome for any further guidance . Regards . Dr. Bhagyesh ( MS , FMAS - consultant surgeon )
