General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Rubber smell in urine is not normal and indicate possible changes in the urinary excretion pathway via disturbances at the amino acid metabolism through the urea cycle.

Consult an expert endocrinologist who will be able to diagnose the cause and treat in accordance with that.

Till that time, maintain hydration with plenty of liquids to avoid secondary bacterial infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
