Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have two light spots towards the top of my knee from a minor floor abrasion while playing volleyball in a gym. My skin is still tan and the scabs came off about a month or two ago. I did go to the beach about 2 weeks after the scabs came off so the spots were exposed to the sun. Will they return to the normal skin color?
If wound is small in size than color might be like that of normal skin. But if wound large than usually due to fibrosis, it will never achieve color similar to skin. It will fade with the time but never be 100% like that of normal skin.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
